*Creative Greetings All~
I decided to put together a project for my new home and so I luckily stumbled on a gigantic puzzle at a thrift shop a few weeks back that I would like to use in an altered puzzle project. I was sooo shocked to have actually found a puzzle this size and thought it would be a great set to use for this project. The Puzzle is actually 18 inches in length and 24 inches wide! Each piece is about 5 inches by 5 inches in size!!!!
Wells, each room in my new home has some sort of theme to it, and for the most part I would like to have 1 altered puzzle displayed in each room. I have an altered puzzle for the master bedroom, and Tim has an altered puzzle that he has displayed in his game room... I still have the kitchen, living room, guest bedroom, and bathroom to go.... My kitchen is in a sunflower theme, my living room is in a native american, nature-esq theme, our guest bedroom is in an art theme because I have my eisel and artwork displayed there, and our bathroom is in a frog and lotus/lilypad theme... this being realistic frogs not cartoonish, and the colors are blues, yellows, and greens. And so, The size of this puzzle will fit perfectly in our bathroom on the main wall as at the moment its blank!
I could send you a 5x5 puzzle piece and ask that it be decorated to the theme of Frogs, Lotus's and Lilypads in blues, yellows, and greens.... I ask that there be no cartoonish frogs used that they be realistic. And that these be decorated as if they were ATC's or the like. Very creative, artistic and crafty. I dont mind 3-d embellishments or anything of that nature, anything's game when it comes to that. Since this is a personal project I will treat it as a private swap in sorts.
I will send each person that participates a mail-art craft that I create for them for thanks in helping me with it... all I ask is that you specify what kind of mail-art you would like, and the themes that you fancy. I love doing altered matchbox's, atc's, tags, altered cd's, decos, slams, *learning the craft of atc dolls*, altered postcards, and tons more... I also ask that upon receiving the puzzle piece(s) please complete and send back to me within a 2 week time frame. I would like to get this wonderful display put together as soon as I can. I will scan and upload each individual piece to share on my blog and I will also share a photo of the finished product.. in frame and hanging!
I am really really excited about this and I hope to find many friends who would like to help me create this wonderful piece of art!
If you are interested in participating, please email me at artislove84@aol.com or reply back to this message.... you can also message me on my 360 blog at http://360.yahoo.com/artisticande OR im me on AIM with the screen name of ArtIsLove84....
If this project goes well I would like to continue my hopes in having a puzzle for each room and will host another Mail art Project for my next room. I just hope to get a great outcome from this! Thanks so much for your time!
Happy Crafting:: Andrea~
