Altered Penguin Puzzle Pieces

I created these pieces for a swap in Puzzle-Art... I was a little nervous with this swap because the pieces were so tiny! But I think given the circumstances, they turned out nicely :)



I think out of the 2 I cant really choose a favorite. I think that baby penguins are so adorable and innocent so thats why I chose to use them on my pieces, talk about a pain resizing them to fit those tiny pieces though... wow! For this piece its basically one whole picture covering it... I didnt really need a background piece at all, then I added some swirly punches made of metallic papers and wa-la!






For this piece I used a water looking background and then cut + pasted the cute baby penguin... adding a few metallic swirly punches again and some fiber... and wa-la... simple and to the point :) There is just something about penguins that are just so adorable.. makes me wanna cuddle them *LOL* I remember in school one of my favorite books that we read was 'Mr. Popper's Penguins' such a cute book!
